The International Veterinary Experience Committee (IVEC) of the SAVMA House of Delegates is pleased to announce that SAVMA (as a member organization of IVSA Global) has been chosen to host the next IVSA Symposium and General Assembly at North Carolina State University! The symposium will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina, January 1st – January 8th, 2016. Make sure to join us for another percentage night coming up this week FRIDAY, AUGUST 26th from 6-8:30 pm at Lynnwood Brewing Concern on E. Wittaker Mill Road.  A percentage of the profits from Pho Nomenal Dumpling Truck will be given to IVSA on this night- NOT THE BEER! So while you should definitely try out the drinks, make sure to eat a dumpling or two!! Hope to see as many people there as possible!!

The Vets Around the World photo competition is still taking entries for one more month! Make sure to get your submissions in for a chance to win!

Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine has launched a photograph competition in ‘international veterinary medicine’. The objective of the competition is to collect and disseminate images which highlight the important role of veterinarians working across the spectrum of animal, human and ecosystems health in different parts of the world.

The competition is open to students from every country on the planet. It will run from May to September 2016, and the entrant with the best photograph (most creative and original) will receive a first prize of $1000 USD, two runners up will receive $500 USD each. The best photographs will also be published in an on-line gallery and a calendar with an acknowledgement to the photographer.
